The first law of blessing is that it must flow outward! Chris Brannon continues in our Commission series by showing us how God has blessed us. He also tells how we are meant to be a blessing. God has greatly blessed us with His love and mercy, a full life, a living eternal hope, spiritual gifts and a forever family. We are called to bless the world with more than our leftovers and give our lives. Chris challenges us to make a sacrifice in our lives today to better enable the expansion of the gospel to the world.
We need the life and vibrancy of children and young people in the church. They add vitality, energy, creativity and a sense of excitement! Chris Brannon continues in our Commission series showing us how we need to invest in the next generation. We also hear from one of our youth leaders and our children’s ministry director and the impact that those ministries have. Chris then challenges all of us to invest in the next generation, whether it be within our church or our community. If you are interested in being part of the children’s or youth ministries at Cedar Springs, please feel free to contact the church office at 360-893-6842. We will be happy to point you in the right direction to get you started!
The entire human race is on a journey to eternity somewhere. The Christian is on a journey to Heaven. Chris Brannon continues in our Commission series by speaking on the message of the Gospel. If we’re going to do people good, we need to understand who we are what’s been going on in us:
*The People of God have the message the world needs: Freedom from the chains of sin, along with its guilt and shame.
*The People of God have relationship with the Father, which the world desperately needs
*The People of God have the community the world needs: The people of God are no longer just escaped slaves – they’re a community, a nation
*The People of God have a purpose bigger than themselves
It is not because we are such good people. We know we aren’t, but is is because Jesus is that good. He is the perfect lamb, spotless, without defect. Join us Sundays at 10am!
Why do we do church? Chris Brannon kicks off a new series focused around the Great Commission of Jesus and how it practically applies to each of us. He goes into more detail about how it pertains to Cedar Springs in light of our upcoming move to our new campus. Learn what the vision is for Cedar Springs and what we are all about. Chris also gives us specific things we can do to be a part of this amazing transition:
*Pray and continue seeking God for this transition:
-Pray for the building renovation to continue moving along
-Pray for the finances to continue coming in to complete the renovation
-Pray for the hearts of our new neighbors to be softened and accepting toward the Gospel and the message of grace
-Pray for the Gospel to go out with power to reach those whom the Holy Spirit is already calling
-Pray for compassion to grow inside of us for the hurting, broken and oppressed all around our new campus
-Pray for strategies to break into the neighborhoods around us
-Pray for all of us to step up into the servants’ role in whatever way is needed
*Continue to pursue generosity in your financial commitment toward the building renovation
*Ask the Lord to reveal to you new areas in which you can put your God-given talents to use through serving in some ministry in the church
Join us over the next few Sundays while we continue in this series. Sundays at 10am!
